The mix of sleek metal with a raw, natural herkimer diamond is so unusual. These rings are even customizable! I love when things are customizable.
The other day I was explaining to someone that not only do we not celebrate Christmas, Hubby & I don't exchange gifts. Ever. It just doesn't make sense to us because we collapsed our finances years ago. Instead, we buy things together - often when we travel. I'll buy a piece of jewellery, he'll buy a watch or t-shirt, or we'll pick out a piece of art. That way we remember the trip, not a birthday or anniversary (which we think we can remember all on our own). But the woman I was talking to asked me this, "if you don't exchange gifts, how do you know he loves you?"
. . .
Lovely ring! I like your mentality on the Holidays. My husband and I exchange gifts but we pick them out together. We also have a 3 year old, and I think we have to keep up with (our) birthdays for her. She would be sad if we didn't open presents, or she got to help :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, yes it makes a difference if you have kids, for sure. They like to partake in these things. It's more special for them if everyone is involved!
ReplyDeleteI love unusual jewelry too. Thanks for sharing that Etsy store.
ReplyDeleteLove those rings. They are so unique. First of all, I cannot believe what the woman said. So what, if he didn't buy you anything that meant he didn't love you? Anyways, we exchange gifts, but try to make it something goofy and fun, because we buy the rest when we need it. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! Now I want one. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love those rings. Soo pretty. Now I just need to show my husband--you know, should he ever want to surprise me. Ha. A girl can dream!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute idea to buy things together instead of giving gifts. My husband would like that I wouldn't buy him anything but he'd buy me stuff anyway. He's got a thing for spoiling me. However, what that lady said is ridiculous! Who needs trinkets to know their husband loves them!?!
ReplyDeleteUM, I REALLY LOVE THESE!!
ReplyDeleteThe diamonds are incredible - love them! I completely appreciate your approach to the gifts. We don't usually exchange anniversary gifts, but we do buy things together for the house if we gift that at all...
