With spring around the corner, I feel giddy (enough so that talk of
rainbows & chipmunks seems like a good idea). Also related to spring-ish
-ness: I find myself drawn toward rooms that feature soft, muted, mature pastels. I am especially mad for the combination of a soft muted pink with black & white.
Truthfully, I'm even enjoying brighter, more Easter egg pastels:
But, you should know, that a week ago while everyone was blogging about their tulips and warm weather, this was the view outside my window:
So, let's think warm thoughts for me in the townhouse. Imagine how jacked up I will be when spring has actually sprung . . .
spring will come! it will! Hang on there! We're with you! (each day I open my wardrobe and look at the summer dresses hanging there. Sad. Alone. Deserted!) The blooming branches are marvelous! Let's concentrate on that! (you know, you can do that too - take one branch, bring it in, put it in a vase and cover it in plastic - the branch - it will bloom!)
ReplyDeleteI'm sooo excited about spring too and I love the light, springy colors!! The snow is slowing but surely melting away here in Minnesota... I hope yours melts too!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
P.S. It is SNOWING as I type. 1:00pm on APRIL 6th and it is SNOWING. This is not going to help the snow melting goal, right Jenny?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I love the little kitchen.
ReplyDeleteMy bedroom is black and white with pops of bright pink... lately I want to switch it to a soft pink.. that first photo may have convinced me!
ReplyDeleteI love the second photo. I think I'm addicted to glass lamps, and that color is spectacular. As for weather, it was 87 degrees F (30 degrees C) here today. I'd send you some of the warmth if I could.
ReplyDeleteHi Dana! Well you have definitely found some great glass lamps for your shop!
ReplyDeleteModern Jane: your bedroom is gorgeous! The shade of pink you've used is so cheery and vibrant.
I have never really been a fan of pastels in interiors but those colours really work in those rooms! I love the Easter egg pastel kitchen! So cute! Hope the snow melts soon!
ReplyDeleteNot wanting to hurt the snow's feelings, but I prefer the first 4 photos! Love all the pink.
ReplyDeleteThat snow is amazing! The other pics are lovely too, but your probably figuring out...I'm particularly fond of snow!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rosie, you DO love snow. I've got some now, too. I'd happily send some to you if I could!
