BUT even though I was in a West Elm store last week (while in Houston), fondling all of the merchandise, I exercised restraint and did not buy an owl (or three). Even with Hubby following me around cawing, "put on a bird in it!" I never should have shown him the video, he loves it too much.

I am a sucker for anything with owls on it. I probably own far too much owl jewellery than can be considered normal. I am not sure if you get Laura Ashley where you are but they are selling gorgeous little owl-shaped kitchen utensil holders!

Doesn't West Elm have great accessories? Love the owls. We got a clear glass Blenko owl for the store, but I think Jenn snagged it. She's a sucker for owls too. And then there's my addiction to Oiva Toikka birds, which are so expensive that I'm tempted to plot illegal activities to engage in so I can afford them. What is it with birds? Oh...and I never knew that an assemblage of owls was called a parliament. Now see what you've done? I have to go research that and see why! :) (Have I mentioned that I have a research addiction too?)

ReplyDeleteDana: I definitely didn't spot a Blenko owl! Rats. I love owls - my grandma has a gorgeous white owl that I lust for.
Those are cute! I've been wanting one of the vintage white owl umbrella holders to put by the front door. Saw some on Etsy that I may just have to buy (they are replicas, but really sweet ones)
