I've made a bit of a bargain with myself: if I finish all of my marking by Saturday, Sunday I'm going to put paint to
canvas. So I'm ramping up the Art Attack posts and instead of featuring one artist, I'm posting a smattering of paintings I love to get me in the groove.
Do you have any creativity planned for this weekend? (
Can you plan it?)
If you want to ogle a few more abstract pieces, check out
this Centsational Girl post. Do you have any great sources or ideas to get the creativity flowing?
Happy Weekend!
I'm not sure you can 'plan' creativity, but you can certainly set aside the time to allow it to happen. I am planning to zip through my to-do list today, so I can chill a little tomorrow ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're so right! I cannot plan creativity! However, I'm in a headband craze these days and I keep making them flowery thingies for me and my daughter. I just wish I had more time on my hands...
ReplyDeleteLove the second abstract in the styled space for West Elm. Too bad the painting's not for sell. BTW, just found your blog and it's wonderful. Will be following along! M.

I have to wait till I'm inspired. Luckily, a lot of the things I see in blogs is inspiring. I look forward to seeing what you do this weekend.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I always find it easier to schedule uncreativity. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all of these pieces. The first is an all time favorite
ReplyDeleteLove these pics. Please post pics of any art that came from your Sunday :). And I agree with TEO-- I think giving yourself time and space for creativity can be huge. xo
